This Sears "Concord" model is really rather neat considering it has an attached garage, presumably for a car during the 1930s! Architecturally, it can be seen as one of the first split-level homes in America.
Greetings~Hello & Welcome! I am Annie Eriksson! As a recent graduate from the University of Michigan with a B.A. in History, I research and I study the phenomenon of mail-order catalog homes. My overarching interest resides in the concept of home ownership and tracing its symbolism of representing the "American Dream."
